The Chinese conductor Haoran Li is one of today’s most exciting conductors of his generation, quickly gaining a reputation for his alert, charismatic, and dynamic musicianship. Known for his natural energy and strong musical presence, Li brings vitality and depth to his performances. He is the Principal  

Conductor of the Beijing Symphony Orchestra and was appointed Permanent Guest Conductor of the Mariinsky Theatre in June 2024. He has earned widespread recognition for his expressive interpretations and versatility across a broad range of repertoire.

Re-imagined Mulan Psalm Staged in Guangzhou

On 1 December, the Youth Edition of Mulan Psalm, a contemporary Chinese opera in four acts, was presented at the Friendship Theatre in Guangzhou.
The performance, featuring around 260 artists from the Henan Performing Arts Group, Henan Music College of Zhengzhou University and the Era Festival Orchestra, was conducted by maestro Li Haoran. It marked the first stage production of the re-imagined Youth Edition of the opera, composed by Guan Xia with a libretto by Liu Lin.
